Note that this Legacy also transfers 50% of base Hearts skill, so maybe boost it a little before dying. When he's back, he can construct the Serpentine for you (1200 echo in the drydock).Īs pointed out, if the Magician is going to be the Legacy officer, your next captain gets instant access to the Serpentine, for 1200 echo, of course. I suppose if you help him, you either get a Satisfied Magician (+6 Veils +5 Mirrors +1 Hearts) or a fingerking wearing his body (Urbane Magician -2Hearts +8 Veils +5 Mirrors +3 Pages), He becomes Prudent Magician (+6 Veils +4 Mirrors) if you talk him out of his plan. It's one of my favorite games of the generation when I played it on PC, and I still enjoyed it when I got it on iOS.Some of the officer quests are worth mentioning. I'd personally recommend a gamepad to play it with, but the tap to move is serviceable and the game is slow paced enough that it doesn't get in the way. If You haven't played The Witness and are into puzzles games, GET THE WITNESS. More complicated stuff includes automatically sending ships from one planet to another, and creating big circular seeds that are slow but really powerful. Each planet you take over generates more units for you, and eventually you can plant more trees to grow more units or create defense trees to defend against attackers. You controls these little seedling ships and send them to various circles/planetoids to fight other colored seedlines. It has a beautiful minimalist art style and pretty intuitive controls. If you want a more chill, relaxing, gorgeous RTS-lite, then get Eufloria HD. Has a bit larger of a tech tree to play with, but you can basically get everything by the end of the game. I prefer the Kingdom Rush games, but this one is really fun too. ![]() If you're more into real-time strategy the same developers made a game called Iron Marines. Kingdom Rush Vengeance: Now you select your towers as a load out before each level (not a huge fan of the change, but it doesn't hurt the core gameplay much).Kingdom Rush Origins HD: Now you have an extra active power you can activate depending on your hero.Kingdom Rush Frontiers HD: Second game, now your heroes gain experience that carries over between levels and you spend it on permanent upgrades.I think this one is free, or maybe just the non-he version, which still works on iPad if you want to try the series out first. Kingdom Rush HD: first game, your heroes start Each level at level 1, and upgrade as they fight. And the heroes are on sale pretty often throughout the year, so if you want to try them out you can. You can play each and every level perfectly well with the free characters. Just make sure you get the "HD" versions of the first 3 games, which are the iPad versions (the 4th game was finally a universal app).Īnd don't worry about the in-app purchases or buying hero characters. The Kingdom Rush series is my favorite tower defense series ever on whatever devices you have, but definitely best on iPads since you can see more of the playfield than on phones. ![]()
